I remember looking on the ECC (Evangelical Covenant Church) site and praising God for the missionaries in Ecuador. I remember the yearning I felt, the tug, the pull to be a missionary too. Today, I looked on the site and my face was among the missionaries of Ecuador. In God’s timing, I will be in the country that birthed my family to be the Lords servant along with my brothers and sisters in Christ.
It’s a beautiful moment when God’s promise starts to flourish. I am blessed! As much as I wish I could get on the plane and go, missionary work requires funding. As I move forward and give God the Glory, it’s important for the body of Christ, the people that love me, and those who desire to help me to know, I cannot do this without your contribution.
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Corinthians 9:7 NIV)
Today, I humbly ask you to search your heart and ask yourself:
How much am I able to give? What am I willing to give? Am I willing to use what God has given me to bless others in the world?
