Most of the time it really is just us stopping ourselves from becoming better, from going further, from creating more, from loving deeper.
Fear of rejection can cause us our whole lives. I don’t want to look back and wonder “what if”. I’d rather have a story to tell about the time I failed, the time I fell on the court or on stage, the time I stuttered in front of an audience.
I find it easier to forgive myself when I can say “I tried”, versus “I was scared”. The irony of making a change in the world is you have to stop dwelling on what the world thinks of you.
Today I choose to lose the fear and take a risk.
