I have my moments where I miss being on stage whether it be performing for a friend’s cause, a community event, a church, a school, etc. Yet, there is a stillness in me; I feel content surrounded by inspiration. Sometimes that inspiration is the children I work with. Sometimes that inspiration is my neighbors’ stories. Sometimes that inspiration is my family. Sometimes that inspiration are the victims of poverty, earthquakes, drugs. That inspiration is fueled by the desire to serve the world through my words. So I write and I write and I write knowing that one day I will have that book published, that mixtape out, that major show to show for this time. The artist in me does not stop creating, and I believe that as a creative it does not matter where I go physically, because theres already a switch turned on within that cultivates and engages those parts of me that makes me Sincerity, an artist. Knowing this allows me to be free.
